Capt. Matt Tusa shorethingfishin@gmail.com (228)493-9743
Matt was born and raised here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Living just a short
walk from the beach, his passion for the salt life and his love of the water began.
Fishing from the piers, seawalls, and wading the sandy beaches is how it all started.
The real knowledge later came while working on a multi-day excursion boat. Matt
had an opportunity not many will ever have which was the opportunity to fish The
Biloxi Marsh, Barrier Islands, and the Chandeleur Islands almost everyday! Matt's
passion for the salt life began to take complete control. Since then, Matt has spent
countless days learning as much about fishing and the estuaries of the Biloxi Marsh,
Chandeluer Islands, and Mississippi Sound so every trip may be better than the last.
With almost a decade as a charter guide, you can be assured that Captain Matt will
provide you with a safe and unforgettable saltwater experience.

Capt. Kenny Shiyou goinsouthfishing@aol.com (228)493-5735
Kenny Shiyou is a life-long resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was raised
as a commercial fisherman and has shrimped and oystered for over 25 years
before acquiring his US Coast Guard 100 Ton Master License. Along with
commercial fishing he has always enjoyed recreational fishing. It is from
this commercial shrimp, oyster, and recreational fishing his knowledge
of the saltwater has surpassed even his own expectations. With his knowledge
of the estuaries of the MS Gulf Coast and LA Marshes, he has become a
valued and intergral part of Shore Thing Charters, and in our eyes one
of the premiere guides in our region. Kenny is also a part of the Louisiana
Cooperative Marine Sport Fish Tagging Program. This is to improve our
understanding of marine sport fish movements, patterns of habitat use,
and estimate population size. Information obtained can be used to evaluate
the effects on sport fish from coastal restoration efforts, regulation
changes, freezes and hurricanes.
